HOW TO BECOME A FOLLOWER OF JESUS

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. - (1 Timothy 1:15)

STEP 1 - BELIEVE

Reports from early Jesus followers tell us that Jesus is the innocent son of God, but that he was murdered by evil men. Being the Son of God, however, death could not hold him and he came back to life just a few days later! Did this really happen? If so, the implications are huge: this would mean that Jesus died in place of sinful mankind, and thus made amends for all of our sins!

Billions of people across the globe have accepted that this truly happened and have altered their entire lives based on the evidence. What about you? Do you believe?

STEP 2 - SURRENDER

If you want to become a follower of Jesus, you must surrender your life. Jesus once said, "whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it" (Luke 9:24 NIV). Here's what that looks like: turn from your sin and step towards Jesus; invite His Holy Spirit to renew your heart and mind from the inside out!

From the beginning, believers have marked their surrender to Jesus by being baptized. The death and burial of Jesus are embodied as you go down into the water, and you embrace His resurrection as your resurface. Would you like to be baptized — marking the surrender of your life to Christ? If the answer is yes, sign-up below!

Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' (Acts 2:38 ESV)
